Using mime with universal themes like the need to dream and to laugh, ACTIVE STORYTELLING encourages participants of all ages to enliven and extend themselves more joyously. Within a climate of fun-loving inventiveness, imagination stretched like a muscle, Active Storytelling becomes an organic 'yogic yoghurt' as in a merry circle, we milk inventiveness for all its worth! Warm-up games, role-play, group explorations, re-told fairytales, all are on offer, together with shaggy-dog stories like HONEYMOON HORRORS, THE LOST SOCK, OAK EGGS and THINKING CAPS, all inviting minds and hearts to open up to the wonder of personal creativity within a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere of creativity. Good 'therapy' for all the family, plus school teachers!

Christopher Gilmore has taught acting skills in three London Drama Schools, including L.A.M.D.A. where he trained. His Talking Book, BRIGHT EYES AND BUBBLES, is used by storytellers in many countries including, for librarians, in Durban, South Africa. He acted on TV as Prince Florizel in Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale and as a policeman in Dixon of Dock Green. He's written 10 inter-curricular textbooks like DOVETALES LOVING LANGUAGES - More Babel, Less Babble? but his latest book is SOUL-CENTRED EDUCATION. Like many of his playshops, ACTIVE STORYTELLING  was first presented for S.E.A.L., the Society of Effective, Affective Learning.
