CREATIVE PHILOSOPHY - The Making of Me
![]() |
Leaner know thyself? What value has education without celebrating one’s own amazing existence? Socrates suggested that an unexamined life was not worth living. So to help balance out second-hand lessons and past imposed examinations, this playshop explores a negotiated range of options, all designed to create personal profiles. With goal-setting and self-assessments, we will explore Mission Statements and Memorials as exercises in self-evolvement and accountability, these designed to maximise individuality and preferred means of self-expression. We will discover that all ages, through healthy Self-Awareness, can invite better ways of nourishing love of life-long learning on many more levels, with much less stress. Central is discernment. By prioritising options each becomes more free to enjoy the rich and varied ways on offer in The Making of Me! |
CHRISTOPHER GILMORE teaches all ages many life-enhancing strategies, including philosophy to +4-year-olds. His latest book, is SOUL-CENTRED EDUCATION and his Self-Awareness Workshops have inspired learners from Canterbury to California, Southgate to South Africa. This 90 minute playshop was well received at the HOLISTIC LEARNING Conference - Breaking New Ground, hosted by the University of Toronto, Canada, October 2001. Also that year for Haifa University in Israel. He is a maverick author of DOVETALES, a series of 10 innovative handbooks for cross-curricular learning styles, honouring the student as an autonomous being able to balance the more ‘allopathic’ aspects of educational input with a more complementary approach. Instead of staying locked in the left brain, these playshop activities can nourish more HEART-Centred kindness and personal creativity at all levels of love and learning. |
